A smaller bike, the same luggage, and a rear subframe that would like a word.

Anyone near the TET with a welder? Rear subframe’s snapped on my CRF250 Rally.

Bought this after everyone said a lighter bike would transform my riding. Transferred all the luggage straight over from the big bike, so it was a very straightforward upgrade.

Before the usual comments, everything on there is essential. Tent, camp bed, proper pillow, chair, cooking kit, spare cooking kit and a bag of logs because you can’t rely on campsites having decent wood.

Only away for two nights, so there’s hardly any food. Most of the weight is equipment for keeping the food cold.

Haven’t weighed the bags individually, but I can lift each one if someone holds the other handle.

Someone’s mentioned a load limit. I assumed that was for jumps. I’ve been sitting down very carefully over everything.

Ideally need somebody who can weld it without taking the luggage off. Took me three attempts to get the straps right and the loose ends are all neatly tucked away.

Please don’t suggest a hotel. The entire point of camping is saving money.

EDIT: Yes, that’s a full-size camping chair. I tried one of the lightweight ones but you can feel the outdoors through it.

EDIT 2: The straps haven’t moved a millimetre. Happy to recommend those.

EDIT 3: Recovery’s quoted £340. Does anyone know a campsite within pushing distance that offers fabrication?
