Five miles. Forty-six takes. One epic adventure.
Dust, jumps and a stunning sunset. The hotel is still visible, but that’s not what it’s about.

What an absolutely unreal day on the trails 😍 Dust, jumps, mountain views and finishing with THAT sunset. Honestly having the most amazing adventure.
A few favourites from today. Full film on YouTube Sunday, assuming we can get forty minutes out of it.
Before someone posts the tracking screenshot again, yes, we covered five miles. I don’t know why this needs to be an issue. That’s not what it’s about.
We left at nine and didn’t finish until sunset. I was exhausted. You don’t need to ride hundreds of miles to have a proper day on the bike.
The jump took most of the morning. First few goes were fine but you couldn’t really see daylight under the tyres. Then we got the angle right but my ponytail was tucked in.
Had to go back for the thumbnail because I looked too comfortable and the video’s called “I DIDN’T THINK I’D MAKE IT”.
Really pleased with the corner shot. Did it eleven times before the dust went in the right direction. Then waited for it to settle so we could film me arriving somewhere nobody had been.
My boyfriend said we could probably get moving at that point, but the light was getting harsh so we stopped for lunch.
Spent the afternoon recording a little chat about escaping schedules and just seeing where the trail takes you. Had to restart because he walked through the background carrying the tripods.
Then it was nearly golden hour and obviously you don’t ride away from a location when it’s about to look that good.
The sunset photo is probably my favourite. Such a peaceful moment. Just me, the bike and him saying “are we done?” from behind the camera.
Some people seem genuinely annoyed that I’m enjoying myself without putting big numbers on the dash. Not everything has to be a competition.
For clarity, the five miles includes going back for the cameras. The hotel is still visible from the jump, but only if you look behind you, which isn’t really my outlook.
We’re staying there again tonight. They hadn’t finished cleaning our room when we asked for it back.
Anyway, which photo should be the thumbnail? Please comment on Instagram rather than here because I’ve already put the poll up.
Kit links are in my bio. Dust is my own.
EDIT: Someone’s worked out you can see the same bush in all three shots. Yes. We formed quite a connection with the area.
EDIT 2: No, the route guide doesn’t need updating. We just haven’t reached the first instruction yet.
EDIT 3: Tomorrow’s supposed to be a bigger day. Found a puddle about half a mile further on that could easily be a two-part episode.
