Day six completely solo in the wilderness and these thermals have honestly been a game changer. Eight hours of deep mud today, three river crossings and not another human for miles. Just me, the bike and the elements 🤍

Anyway, merino or synthetic? Would love your advice before I film my definitive guide to choosing the right one.

A few people asked how these perform under armour. Haven’t tried that combination yet because it hides the waistband, but I’ve tested them extensively standing beside the bike.

They’ve kept me comfortable from the frozen mountain passes this morning to the desert section just after lunch. Not sure of the temperatures. My weather app keeps insisting I’m in Surrey.
