Anyone near this ford with a tow rope? Bike’s fine, I’ve just decided not to continue from its current position.

Went in because the GPX line went straight across. Surely whoever uploads these checks the water?

Got halfway, felt the front move and stopped to reassess. Unfortunately my reassessment foot didn’t reach the bottom where expected.

Managed to get it on the stand and walk out. Boots are full, which is disappointing given what they cost.

Before everyone says “you should have walked it first”, I specifically bought a motorbike to avoid walking these routes.

Also saw a video of someone crossing here last August and it barely came up the tyres. Same crossing, same bike, so I don’t see what I was supposed to do differently.

Could do with two people to help push. Please bring your own waterproofs. Mine are currently drying on the footbridge.

EDIT: Yes, I saw the bridge. It’s for pedestrians. I do respect access rules.

EDIT 2: Whoever commented “try putting it in rice”, there’s no shop near here. I’ve checked.
